Hah, I did it! This started as a MEP part for =Fuchsianess back in April, which was when I finished the sketch (which is in Scraps). In August the lineart was finished (Scraps too) but in the end I gave up on the MEP. But I regretted having wasted all that effort so today, rather than studying French and maths which I have important tests for, I finished this. I like the animation up to the looking at the viewer, but the getting up part... no. x) One moment she's laying down and suddenly she's standing. Makes no sense! But it's old already so I didn't really bother.
Aaah I'm so glad I finished this! I rarely ever do complex animations that involve the whole body moving and I'm glad I could use Bienie no matter how much her design killed me in this. Plus... I decided that after all, I might as well still go for animation as my further studies, so I might practice anyway then!
Also... I'm really grateful for all the recent watchers. Thanks so much. It really keeps me going.
I must say this is very good. But it's eyes change sizes every now and then, but it is so amazing. That is one of the only faults in it. It is very nice. It's paws also get bigger in every frame of it. But if you had only one paw siz, and only one eyes size it would be very nice.
Positive: You drew the markings quite nicely, and it framed out nicely, it wasn't slow, it actually moved very nicely, I aplaud you for that. I think that the yawn is adorable, and its head moves up nicely.
This critique will be serious, and in no way an asspat.
Oh... and by the way... some faggot likes to copy and re-submit my critiques for some reason. Just to let you know.
Here is the critique:
Positive: This is really really adorable.
It is easy to tell the motion of what the character is doing, which is always good.
The change of facing front to 3/4 to side is really smooth. Nice job on that.
The overall animation is good. Not amazing, but still pretty good.
Negative: A lot of jitter in the outline of the character.
Don't be afraid to reuse a frame or keep a frame on for longer periods of time, it will help keep it smooth from one motion or frame to the other.
While looking at this... it seems you may have put a few too many frames in it. For less jitter in the lines, design, and other things, try to use maybe a little bit less frames.
The eyes could have been animated a little bit better, and really change in shape from frame to frame.
Frame timing is key to a great animation, some frames will last longer than the others.
The lines tend to change their placement quite a bit, especially near the chest. So try to be more wary of that.
Even though I nitpicked at a LOT, this is still really good. Nice job! Keep up the good work. ^^
